About the Course

Practical course in creative sewing, where participants explore various sewing machine functions through three different projects. The course includes hands-on practice with needle and thread, experimentation with different types of materials, and learning how to sew a zipper.

One of the main goals of the course is to gain a basic understanding of the sewing machine and learn how to troubleshoot common issues that may arise during use.

This course includes 4 classes, ones a week.

Content in detail

FIRST CLASS
Intro about fabrics:
– Different kinds of fabrics
– How the fabric is made and how to cut it right for your project.

The sewing machine, that mysterious tool.
Showcase of the basic functions and accessories.

Realization of a simple project.
You will learn how to realize a book travel case, which includes the application of a button for the closure.

SECOND CLASS / Realization of a simple project.
How to use the zipper foot and realization of a project that includes the application of a zipper, a pochette.

THIRD AND FOURTH CLASS / Realization of a simple project.
We use this time to finish previous projects if there is need and practice acquired skills with a new project, an headrest pillow for you travels.

Materials: we will provide samples of fabric, threads and tools. The fabric for the project is not included. In the intro mail you will get some information about how much and which kind fabric you need for it. You are very welcome to reuse something you have at home or buy something you like. In alternative you can find something in the Atelier.

Equipment: You are very welcome to bring your own sewing equipment or use the one in the Atelier.

Price: 1250 – dkk per person
Material Price: 60 kr per project.

Price including materials for the 3 projects: 1430 kr – note that you can also choose to purchase the materials on site.

This workshop can be organized when we reach enough participants to activate it and it can be held on Tuesday from 17:30 to 20:30.

It can be very nice group activity.

The workshop will take place only with a minimum of 3 registered participants. If fewer registrations are received, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the event.

If you need to cancel your registration, you’ll receive a full refund if the cancellation is made at least 10 days before the workshop date. Cancellations made less than 10 days prior to the workshop unfortunately cannot be refunded.

In the unlikely event that The Atelier must cancel the workshop, all registered participants will receive a full refund.
