About the Course
This workshop is for those who already have some basic experience with a sewing machine and want to start learning how to alter their own garments.
Hemming is quite easy to do, but you can face some challenges if you don’t know how to deal with different types of fabrics.
During the workshop we will talk about different types of hems, and I will tutor you in the alteration of your item, from taking accurate measurements to how to set up the sewing machine in order to complete the task smoothly.
What can you bring to work on?
A pair of trousers, a skirt, a dress, or any garment you would like to shorten (including sleeves)
Do not bring: knitted, stretchy, sleeves with cuffs.
If you wanna make sure it is something doable considering the time and the equipment you can send a picture of it during the sign up process.

The workshop will take place only with a minimum of 3 registered participants. If fewer registrations are received, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the event.
If you need to cancel your registration, you’ll receive a full refund if the cancellation is made at least 10 days before the workshop date.
Cancellations made less than 10 days prior to the workshop unfortunately cannot be refunded.
In the unlikely event that The Atelier must cancel the workshop, all registered participants will receive a full refund, or we will find another date.
